Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is well known for movies such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles for instance, the lead in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy role like Adolf's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. It received nominations for an Oscar and received critical acclaim. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated movies featuring female stars. Alexandra worked on several notable international and national projects throughout the years. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French history mini-series Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She also served on the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
